8:00 AM-9:00 AM-Final Registration

9:00 AM-Racing begins!

1:00 PM (approximate) Racing ends, awards ceremony!

• We will follow the North Valley District Pinewood Derby Rules for specifications on the cars.
• Each Pack must send their pre-registration of top 5 scouts from their individual pack race and $4.00 registration per scout to the Council office by Friday, April 13^th.  Pre-registration is very important so every Scout who is eligible to race can race.  Changes are not allowed on the day of the event. 
• Scouts MUST BE PRESENT TO RACE.
• Scouts MUST BE IN UNIFORM TO RACE.
• We will have /- 150 Scouts racing and we will move along as quickly as possible, but it will still be a long morning so we ask for your patience during the race.
• Each Scout will receive a North Valley Pinewood Derby 2018 patch and the 10 Scouts with the fastest individual race time (from the four heats they run) will receive trophies.  The traveling North Valley Pinewood Derby trophy will go home with the Pack with the fastest Scout.

A review of the way we run the races…

• Every Scout will race four times to determine his fastest race time.  This is not a head-to-head race with a “winner” per race.  The Scouts are racing to determine their overall fastest time of their four races.
• Every Scout will race each heat in an assigned lane in a random order that is predetermined by the software we use. Each Scout will race once on each lane of the four lane track.
• The fastest 10 overall race times will determine the Scouts who earn 1^st through 10^th place.
• Pack 1600 will run the race.
• All judge’s decisions are final and good sportsmanship is a must!
