Current Openings for 2021 (updated: January 2021)

  • High Adventure Guides (must be over 21)
    Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all high adventure programs; supervises Scouts on the daily off-site Afternoon Adventure activities with our vendor partners – such as whitewater rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, and climbing. Participate in camp-wide programs and be willing to lead the instruction of select merit badges.
     
  • Health Officer / Medic (must be over 21)
    Oversees the general health and safety needs of the camp; including tending to first aid situations under guidance of the council physician's procedures, and leads the instruction of Health & Wellness merit badges. Must hold current certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
     
  • Assistant Health Officer (must be over 18)
    Assists the health officer in managing the health and safety needs of the camp; including tending to first aid situations. Leads instruction of select Health & Wellness merit badges. 
     
  • First-year Camper Program Director (must be over 18)
    Responsible for the delivery of the Trail to Adventure (TTA) program that helps new Scouts (ages 10-12) on the trail to First Class. Works with the TTA instructors (2) and coordinates all instruction and programs of the area. Strong Scouting knowledge and experience required.
     
  • Ecology/Conservation Director (must be over 18)
    Responsible for the entire Econ programs and operation of the area which includes merit badge programs, nature hikes, fishing, and other nature programs. Oversees and supervises the youth Econ instructors (2), coordinates area-specific programs, and participates in the instruction of area merit badges.
     
  • Handicraft Director (must be over 18)
    Responsible for the entire Handicraft programs and operation of the area which includes merit badge programs, and other arts and crafts programs. Oversees and supervises the youth Handicraft instructors (2), coordinates area-specific programs, and participates in the instruction of area merit badges.
     
  • Archery Director (must be over 18)
    Works with the Shooting Sports director to carry out all archery programs in camp, including the instruction of Archery merit badge and the running of open shoots and specialty shoots. On-site BSA Archery Ranger Officer training provided.
     
  • Assistant Cook (must be over 18)
    Assists the camp cook in providing meals to campers, leaders and staff. Helps in supervising and leading the kitchen staff, managing inventory, and preparing meals.
     
  • Aquatics Instructors / Lifeguards (must be over 16)
    Participates in the instruction of select area merit badges, serves as a lifeguard during open swim and open boating, and supports all aquatics and waterfront programs. Strong swimming and boating (canoeing, rowing, kayaking or sailing) abilities preferred. Required to complete BSA Lifeguard training or hold a current certificate from the BSA (on-site training provided by the Aquatics Director). 
     
  • Dining Hall & Kitchen Staff (must be over 16)
    Works with the cook to provide meals to campers, leaders and staff. Participates in food preparation and works to maintain a clean kitchen and dining area.

National standards require that all paid Scout camp staff members be at least 15 years of age. The Boy Scouts of America is an equal opportunity employer that hires both males and females, as well as people of all ages and ethnic groups, diverse cultures, and abilities. Staff members must be, or become, registered members of the Boy Scouts of America. Salaries are based on position responsibility with consideration given to the individual's qualifications and experience.

Camp Minsi also offers an outstanding Councilor in Training (CIT) program designed for Scouts ages 14 and older. This two-week program helps prepare Scouts that may be interested in serving on staff in the future with experience, service, excitement and leadership training.
