It may be a virtual competition but the MILES are real! So lace up your running shoes, put air in the tires, grab your water bottle and get ready for fun!

Your participation helps support Scouting during these difficult times. When many events, sports and after school activities had been put on hold, Scouting quickly pivoted to continue to provide the Scouting program all online. This programming kept youth engaged, gave them an opportunity to interact with other youth and offered fun adventures for the whole family! We need your help to continue these efforts. 

This challenge offers divisions for different fitness levels. All participants will receive a finisher certificate and patch. Lots of awards for each division. If you want to make the experience more authentic, request a custom race bib! (Coming Soon.)

Individual Running Challenges:

• 5k Run: $20 
  Medals for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd overall. 1^st place medals for age groups: 18 & under, 19-35, 36-50, 50 & Over.
   
• 10k Run: $30
  Medals for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd overall. 1^st place medals for age groups: 18 & under, 19-35, 36-50, 50 & Over.
   
• Half Marathon 13.1 Miles: $40 
  Medals for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd overall. 1^st place medals for age groups: 18 & under, 19-35, 36-50, 50 & Over.
   
• 1 Mile Fun Run for Kids 12 & under only: $10
  Medals for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd overall. 
   
• Highest mileage running: $50 (August 15 - October 31)
  Trophy and bragging rights to 1st place

Team Challenge (5 Members)- Complete as a family, Troop, Pack or Crew:

• Highest Mileage Combined Running: $50 (August 15 through October 31)
  Trophy and bragging rights to 1st place

Every participant receives a special patch and finisher certificate.

Challenges can be completed any time between August 15 and October 31. Email your proof of time and distance via link to running/fitness app or submit a picture of a sports watch/device, treadmill/stationary bike screen or picture of a stop watch to Alista.blose@scouting.org by October 31. For highest mileage challenge and team challenge, please include a spreadsheet or fitness app summary with your pictures.
