Fifteenth Annual Shankweilers Drive–In Cub Camping

When:   

• One night only in 2021 - Saturday, September 18, 2021

• Gates open 5:00 pm.     

• Event held rain or shine. 

• Activities held 5:30 pm. to 7:15 pm. 

• Opening ceremonies & Movies begin 7:30 pm.                       

Where:        

• Shankweilers Drive In, 540 Shankweiler Road, Orefield, PA

Cost: 

• $10.00 per person.

• Includes patch, two movies, games, camping overnight at the drive-in. 

Who can attend?  

• All registered Cub Scouts and their family members only.  

• NO FRIENDS

• Den Chiefs are encouraged to come with their Packs!

Deadline:    

• Registration will begin June 23, 2021 for Lehigh District units. 

• Open registration for all other units will begin July 15, 2021. 

• Space is limited.

• Registration closes as soon as we reach capacity.                                   

Due to limited parking spaces please car pool.

What should you bring? 

• Small tent (size will be limited to 10 x 10), sleeping gear, your own water supply, chairs, radio.  

• A radio is needed as the drive-in no longer has speakers!

General Information: 

• This is a Cub Family Camping Event.  Cub camping rules outlined in the Guide to Safe Scouting will be followed.

• NO SMOKING OR ALCOHOL AT THIS EVENT 

• Adult/Chaperone MUST STAY with their children throughout the duration of this event! 

• Use the trash cans provided.

• No pets are allowed.

• No stove cooking or fires are allowed.

• Volunteer staff will be wearing yellow baseball caps.

• Please support concession stand.
