Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS)
This course is open to all registered Adult Leaders.
This course is required to be taken to be considered "trained" for the positions of Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster.
There will be virtual learning leading up to the in-person practical session. Virtual learning will be comprised of large group (live), small group (live) and individual learning (pre-recorded) sessions. The in-person session will include overnight tent camping.
Virtual session:
Who: Registered Students and Staff
What: IOLS online training
When: April 3rd 7-8:30 pm
Where: Zoom, sign in information will be emailed to each participant prior to the session
In-person session:
Who: Registered Students and Staff
What: IOLS in person practical
When: April 12th 7pm (approx.) to April 13h 7pm (approx.)
Where: Location: Camp Minsi
The cost of the course is $35 per person which includes one night of camping and dinner Saturday evening as part of the in person, outdoor portion of this course.
No youth will be allowed at the course.
Participants will need to bring a copy of their medical form parts A/B.
